Faculty Profile

MR. VINEY KAKKAR

Mr. Viney Kakkar, Dean of School of Engineering & Applied Sciences, joined Rai Foundation on 14th of July 2003.  He served in various technical installations and training establishments of Indian Air Force before taking voluntary retirement in June 2003. A graduate in Electronics & Telecommunication and M.Tech in Computer Science, he has 14 Years working experience in Installation, Maintenance and Operation of various Radar Systems & their advanced Simulators, including 10 years in various training establishments of IAF. He has also been Executive Committee Member & Chairman Technical Program Committee of Institution of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineers, Delhi. He has also organized sevral national level technical seminars. For last three years, he has been teaching the students of B.Tech (Electronics & Communication) in School of Engineering & Applied Sciences.

DR. MADHUCHHANDA BAGCHI

Dr. Madhuchhanda Bagchi completed her Ph.D in Quantum Electronics from Calcutta University on “Time Delay & Q-Switching in GaAs Semiconductor Laser. She joined Post Graduate Institute of Medical Educational and Research, Chandigarh as Research Associate in the department of Experimental Medicine & worked in Project -“Study of some physical factors in the pathogenesis of Atherosclerotic Rhesus Monkey”.
She joined Rai Foundation in December 2003. Before joining Rai Foundation she worked with M.P. Council of Science and Technology, Bhopal and M/S Locost Baroda as Project Coordinator; Institute of Technology and Management (ITM), Gurgaon as a Sr.Lecturer; and Manipal Institute of Technology, Sikkim.
She has research publications in National and International journals, which include IEEE
Journal of Quantum Electronics, Indian Journal of Pure and Applied Physics, Indian Journal of Medical Research etc.

PROF. K. S. VENKATARAMAN

Prof. K. S. Venkataraman graduated from Birla Engg. College in 1960 & commissioned in Indian Air Force as Electronics Officer in 1960 & in 1969 selected by Government to do post graduation at BITS Pilani. He completed ME in electronics in 1971 with distinction and awarded gold medal. During this service carrier spanning over 34 years he held various assignments in operational & planning activities including that of Chief Systems Engineer in charge of major projects all over India covering Civil, Electrical & Electronics activities. He retired as Project Director in charge of Satellite Communication Network covering various locations in India.
After retirement in 1994, he stabilized a System Planning & Installations Group to under take projects for GSM & CDMA network & in that he has trained more than 200 professionals to undertake the task for various operators & equipment suppliers. He also got ISO Certification for the group & deputed personnel abroad for task execution. Since Jan 2005, he is working as Professor in  School of Engineering & Applied Sciences.   

MS JYOTSNA MUNSHI

Ms Jyotsna Munshi has done her Masters in Electronics from Bhopal University. She is a Gold Medallist in her Masters and a merit scholarship holder in her graduation. She has also done her PHD course work from IIT Delhi. She has around 4 years of teaching experience at both graduate and undergraduate levels. She has a 2.5 years vigorous R&D experience from CARE, IIT Delhi. She has diverse experience for different technologies and softwares. She has worked on Surface acoustic Wave Technology for Signal Processing, Non-destructive evaluation/characterization of materials, Non-radiative dielectric waveguides and MEMS. She has two international publications to her credit. One an IEEE publication in July 2004 in IEEE Transaction on Ultasonics, Sonics, Ferroelectics and Frequency Control and one published as an application note in Ansoft Users Communication, June 2002.Her current area of interests are Signal Processing, Microwaves and Nano-Technology.

MS. PRANAY TANWAR

Ms. Pranay Tanwar did her graduation Mathematics (Hons) and post graduation from Delhi University, with specialization in Applied Mathematics. For M.Phil, the topic of her dissertation was “Cubic Spline Method for the solution of elliptic Boundary Value Problems”.
She has experience of teaching M.Tech, M.C.A., B.Tech., B.C.A classes for over five and half years. Before joining Rai Foundation on 1st July 2004, she had worked as a Lecturer in Ideal Institute of Technology, U P Technical Univ. for one year and at Academy of Business and Engineering Sciences, U P Tech. Univ. for four years, where she also had administrative experience as course coordinator, coordination of various academic programmes, in charge of cultural committee etc.

MISS ANSHU SHARMA

Miss Anshu Sharma graduated from Ideal Institute Of Technology in 2002. Presently she is Pursuing MBA from IMT Ghaziabad. She has done industrial training in National Internet Backbone, Delhi. She guided a group of stdents to undertake projects for Designing UART through VHDL. Presently working as Senior Lecturer, she joined Rai Foundation on 1st May 2004. She is teaching the students of B.Tech (Electronics & Communication) in School of Engineering & Applied Sciences.

MS. VINEET KAUR SODHI

Ms. Vineet Kaur Sodhi graduated from Punjabi University with English (Hons) and did her Masters in English from Punjabi University. Currently she is pursuing her Ph.D from Indian Institute Of Technology Delhi in English.
She has an experience of approx. 9 years in teaching English and Communication Skills. Before joining Rai Foundation on 26 Sep 2003, she has worked as lecturer in Directorate of Training & Technical Education and was teaching Communication Skills to B.Tech students. Currently she is teaching Life Skills to B.Tech, M.Tech and M.C.A. students and has also imparted training in English and Communication Skills to Police Professionals in The Police Training Academy.

Devender Saini  -- Lecturer

Has done B.Tech(ECE) from Apeejay College of Engineering,Gurgaon. Has got hands on  experience in VLSI Design & Wafer Fabrication, Circuit & PCB Design with specific cost detection,Chip programming of Xerox machine, Servicing of CT Scan & MRI Scan machines. Joined RAI in August 2003.Has done PGDBA(Marketing)  from Symbiosis Institute , Pune while teaching in RAI.

Rajani G --- Lecturer

Pursued B.Tech (ECE) from JNTU, Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh .Worked as Lecturer in Sindhura College of Engg., Ramagundam, A.P. for 1 yr. Joined RAI FOUNDATION in September 2005.Has developed a  project on FH-CDMA(Frequency Hopped Code Division Multiple Access) during graduation.
